We firmly believe that the health and safety of our people, employees and contractors, is our single most important responsibility.
Safety is at the forefront of company policy. This can be demonstrated by the implementation and endorsement of our full site specific Construction Safety Plans (CSP) for each individual project. Our system has received Third Party Certification to AS/NZS 4801:2001.
True to our pledge of continual improvement, FK Gardner has been recognised by the Qld Master Builders 2009 Construction Industry Awards with the Toowoomba and Darling Downs Regional Award being won by FKG for Innovation in Workplace Health & Safety.
We have extended ourselves further and are working towards achievement of Federal Safety Commissions Accreditation under the National Code of Practice (NCP) allowing us to undertake works on federally funded projects.
Committed to providing safe systems of work and a safe working environment where workers are protected from preventable injuries, the procedures set out in our “Safety Policy” help to ensure safety is the first priority on all our work sites.
Risk assessments and method statements are carefully prepared to define safe systems of work and reflect specific site conditions, where appropriate. As a result, we have an excellent safety record.
Our safety focus helps to prevent accidents and delays, benefiting clients through improved project performance and a clear reduction in unanticipated costs.
FK Gardner are members of the Zero Harm at Work - Leadership Forum programme, which works with other industry leaders to work towards reducing the number and seriousness of workplace health and safety incidents, and raising the standards of workplace health and safety across the State. Zero Harm means no harm to anyone, anytime while at work.
