A carpenter by trade, Gary worked his way up through the business which his father started more than 40 years ago. His entrepreneurial ability and focus on managed expansion has seen FKG grow from a small business with a handful of staff to a large building and civil contracting company with more than 300 employees and three offices across Queensland. 

With a focus on innovation and improvement, FKG receives numerous nominations and awards for building excellence each year. Gary largely attributes FKG’s success to the high caliber of its staff, dedicated to working together to achieve positive results.

Committed to employing qualified staff rather than relying on sub-contractors, Gary is proud of the fact that some employees have been with FKG for more than 25 years and now have children undertaking apprenticeships with the company.
