John Wesley Gardens Aged Care Facility Redevelopment

The FKG Group were contracted to deliver a new, three-storey, 144-bed aged care facility in Geebung, for Wesley Mission Brisbane.

The previous facility had been serving the local community for 50 years and the redevelopment delivered a state-of-the-art accommodation building and a high-care community for aged care residents living with dementia and special needs.

Construction work involved demolition of the existing site building (5,460m²), excluding the existing community facility and Chapel building which was retained in the new layout. The development was inclusive of ancillary buildings, community facilities and also provided retail and café services for residents. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, phone and Wi-Fi services, ensuite bathrooms and built in wardrobes.
