Following a long relationship with the client over several previous projects the FKG Group was awarded the Mount Isa Hospital Stage 3 Refurbishment contract comprising the refurbishment of the existing Paediatrics, Maternity, Theatre, and CSSD.
Undertaken in three separable portions, the FKG Group conducted refurbishment works in an operational environment.
To engage with the community, local subcontractors were utilised to boost employment and job opportunities in the area.
Through clear communication and cooperation with the onsite BEMS team, FKG Group completed the project on time and budget. The site team was required to be innovative with the timing and scheduling to ensure works could be completed in the confines of the hospital site rules.
