The FKG Group are currently seeking applications from experienced, qualified and motivated Caretakers to take responsibility for the day to day management and operation of Bryant’s Motel and the general maintenance and operation of the Diamantina Village in Roma.

The FKG Group’s Diamantina Village has been designed with the worker in mind, providing the convenience of camp style accommodation with the luxuries of home. Located in the heart of the Surat Basin 5km from Roma town centre, the Village offers modern facilities for short and longer-term accommodation needs for Clients from all industries.¬† Bryant’s Motel is an affordable, friendly 10-bedroom motel situated only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and facilities.

Duties of the role include:

  • Opening, closing and management of offices including taking bookings, responding to client requests and general enquiries;
  • Overall Motel, Village and grounds management, maintenance and presentation;
  • Supply management and ordering;
  • Laundry management;
  • Security;
  • Full departure cleans and cleaning of general facilities (BBQ areas, toilets gyms etc);
  • Overall presentation and cleanliness of motel; and
  • Daily and Weekly reporting.

The role would best be suited to a couple with experience in a similar role in a large-scale accommodation facility or caravan park. ¬†Successful candidates will lead a team to deliver first class quality service, it is a hands-on role with maintenance, cleaning, administration and client services at the heart of the role to ensure the successful operation of Bryant’s Motel and the Diamantina Village.

To be successful, the candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in managing accommodation facilities;
  • Sound knowledge of delivering hospitality and facilities management services;
  • Previous experience managing a team with kitchen management advantageous;
  • Excellent communication, customer service, team building and people management skills;
  • High attention to detail; and
  • Strong time management skills.

A “can-do” approach together with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service, a willingness to take ownership, show initiative and go the extra mile will be well regarded.

This is a full time, live in position with accommodation provided, working on a roster with nominated days off per month and additional annual leave.  A competitive salary and benefits package will be negotiated for the right candidates.
