The Role

An opportunity exists for a Estimator to join our team. You will be based on-site in our newly renovated office facility located in Windsor, with access to our fully equipped gym and staff lunches.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of commercial construction projects for both public and private clients;
  • Evaluating project plans and specifications, analysing costs, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to develop comprehensive bid proposals;
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements; and
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they understand the scope, cost, and timeline of the project.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the below;

  • Relevant practical experience in pricing commercial construction projects;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a similar field;
  • Advanced level knowledge of computerised estimating software, preferably Buildsoft / Cube It;
  • An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in subcontractor bills and negotiations;
  • A strong understanding of industry/project risk and strategic opportunities to secure successful projects;
  • Well developed knowledge of the construction process and common challenges; and
  • Experience in managing customer relationships including developing and maintaining.
