HR Assistant (Contract)

Our continuous quest for excellence continues as we seek to engage an experienced HR Assistant to join our HR Team for an initial period of 6 or 7 months. The role will be based in our Toowoomba office and work to support our various business units by providing administration and HR assistance across a broad range of HR functions.

The ideal candidate will bring with them a broad range of knowledge and administrative skills and be able to adapt and work in a diverse environment. Tasks for the position will be varied, supporting the learning and development, recruitment and onboarding, and general HR activities for our 750-strong workforce and subcontractors.

With a solutions-focused approach, our new team member will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 2 – 3 years administration experience, preferably with either experience in an HR role or demonstration of qualifications/ current study in HR or related area;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with proficiency in the Office 365 suite;
  • Excellent administration skills with willingness to learn and be involved in diverse tasks;
  • The ability to plan and organise a busy workload while providing support in the areas of recruitment, training, workforce management and other aspects of HR; and
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.

This role is well suited to a vibrant, enthusiastic and driven individual with well-developed administration skills and a grounded and level headed approach. Recent graduates or those currently studying HR or a related discipline that have demonstrated administration experience would be well suited to this position.
