IT Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and energetic IT Manager to join our team and lead the coordination, management and strategic planning of the Group’s information technology and telecommunication functions. Supervising a team of systems and helpdesk professionals, the IT Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing IT plans to compliment the strategic and operational direction of the various business units.

Reporting to the Group Manager – Corporate Services, the IT Manager will play an integral role in working with our business units to support their operations and their users based in metro, regional and remote sites with their critical ICT requirements.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • 7-10 years in the IT industry with a minimum of 5 years management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in IT Technologies and solutions with previous detailed exposure to infrastructure, application management, systems, networks and cloud technologies
  • Technical knowledge and experience including virtual infrastructure and shared storage, routing and switching, backup and DR solutions, Mobile Device Management and Cloud solutions (O365, Azure, Backup as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service)
  • Proven team leadership with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and manage for outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to all users across the Group
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to identify and deliver solutions on time, budget and within scope.

Candidates with professional qualifications including ITIL Foundation/ Practitioner and Prince2 would be highly regarded, as would industry training and certifications across leading platforms such as Microsoft, Cisco and similar.

This is role is based primarily in our modern Toowoomba Office, with some travel required to our Brisbane office or other locations from time to time. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE will be considered for the successful applicant if required.
