Lead Educator

Building Blocks is the FKG Group’s very own, in-house registered early learning centre, providing an interactive and supportive learning environment for up to 25 children. Located at our head office in Toowoomba, Building Blocks prides itself on modern, exclusive use facilities and our high quality, safe and caring environment for the children of our employees.

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate early learning professional to join our team in the position of Lead Educator. This role is perfectly suited to a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual that is committed to providing a quality learning environment and developing strong and positive relationships with children and families.

As a Lead Educator, you will:

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Mentor and support educators to ensure high-quality practices.
  • Build strong relationships with families and the community.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and centre policies.

To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a lead role;
  • Hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent);
  • Possess current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certification;
  • A well-developed knowledge of the EYLF and NQF;
  • Previous experience in the design and development of educational programs intended to share the excitement of child-led and play-based discovery;
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills;
  • A well-developed understanding of theories of early childhood development;
  • A clear passion and enthusiasm for working with children; and
  • High level organisational skills, with cleanliness and reliability as a priority.
