Maintenance Technician/Equipment Operator – AUSCOIL

With offices in Brisbane and Toowoomba, we provide a wide range of well intervention, production enhancement, cementing services and dewatering & completion services to various coal seam gas (CSG) clients. We are a specialist team with significant experience, and although we are a relatively new company, we have built a reputation on efficiency, reliability, and innovation. Auscoil’s strength and capability as a service provider is reinforced by years of local and industry knowledge and ability to successfully develop new technology to address the technical and operational challenges faced by coal seam gas wells in Australia.

What are we looking for?

Due to growth in our operations, we are seeking applications from in field Maintenance Technicians who are willing and eager to operate our field equipment and be part of a field crew. This is a fantastic opportunity for maintenance technician candidates who want to develop operational experience and be part of an elite team who produce quality outcomes and truly care about each other with a no-blame proactive culture.  With a commitment to the ongoing development of our people, this position is perfect for those who are keen to continue to develop in the coal seam gas servicing industry and offers opportunities to develop into field operations or maintenance support career path.

Duties include

  • Oil & Gas field well services equipment maintenance and repairs (mechanical and/or electrical)
  • Operate and maintain Oil & Gas field well services equipment
  • Be a hands-on maintenance champion in the field
  • Train and mentor field crews on preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Record maintenance information in company’s software
  • Source and purchase parts as required
  • General maintenance & housekeeping as required


  • Vocational mechanical or electrical trade qualifications
  • Current HR driver’s licence
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting coiled tubing/cementing/fracturing equipment
  • A sense of urgency in work practices, and the reliability and flexibility to work as required
  • Good communication skills, initiative and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to work safely with an understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
