Training Officer

Our HR Team is currently seeking an experienced administrator to work as our Training Officer in supporting our various business units and workforce with the coordination of their training needs. The successful applicant will partner with both the wider HR team and business units to manage the training coordination, compliance, records management, client and project requirements, and apprentice functions for the various entities within the FKG Group.

Utilising methodical and faultless administrative skills and a well developed knowledge of training principles, the Training Officer plays an integral role in ensuring the training needs of our team members are covered, from induction and onboarding and throughout the employment lifecycle.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be a vibrant, proactive and driven individual with the confidence to deliver outcomes across a broad range of training activities, and be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years continuous experience in an administrative role, preferably with experience in the HR or Training fields
  • Advanced level computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in the Office 365 suite, electronic induction and booking systems and computerised finance packages
  • Experience in managing course logistics and scheduling training programs
  • Commitment to the creation of a strong workplace culture
  • A desirable understanding of training disciplines including knowledge of the VET sector and apprenticeship/ traineeship models
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong attention to detail and follow through skills

While tertiary or vocational qualifications in an HR or Training discipline will be considered favourably, the priority for this position is the demonstration of exceptional high level administration skills and an understanding of standard training functions. Experience in the construction industry or similar field would be highly regarded.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract for a period of approximately 9 months.
