FKG Group Hosts Safer Together Event

The FKG Group’s dedication to the safety of our people, stakeholders and the communities in which we operate was on show at the recent Safer Together gathering held in our Toowoomba office.
Safer Together is a not-for-profit, member-led organisation committed to building a strong and consistent safety culture within the Queensland Natural Gas Exploration and Production Industry. The FKG Group is a strong supporter of Safer Together’s pivotal role in defining how the industry moves forward towards an even safer future.
Recently our Managing Director, FKG Group, Nick Gardner welcomed 20 representatives of Safer Together member companies and led the group on a tour of our Toowoomba facility. During the tour Mr Gardner showcased how we have benefitted from implementing Safer Together tools and programs within our organisation.
Mr Gardner emphasised how working collaboratively can build a lasting culture of safe behaviours and promote learning by sharing good practices across different business units. He also discussed the need to simplify, standardise and embed consistent industry requirements and develop practical, effective solutions that have industry-wide application.
Guest speaker Lisa Mealiff, Senior HSE Advisor – Safety Leadership and Programs at Arrow Energy, also provided her insights into how the industry can create and maintain safer environments within the workplace.
