Group Partner AUSCOIL continues to excel

Since commencing operations in 2015, FKG Group Partner, AUSCOIL, has gone from strength to strength, with the team recently celebrating their move to a custom-built office and workshop facility in Charlton, Toowoomba – designed and constructed by the FKG Group.

The innovative company, which has seen its turnover grow to $20M in recent years, provides a diverse range of well services including proprietary technologies developed to solve Coal Seam Gas (CSG) wells problems (such as FOAM-X and Typhoon), well intervention, production enhancement, pressure pumping, innovative dewatering and abandonment services for CSG and conventional oil and gas clients including Origin Energy, Santos, Arrow Energy, QGC and AGL.

The move to the new facility reflects the progression of the business, achieved through the team’s hard-work, persistence and innovation, Executive Chairman of the FKG Group, Gary Gardner explains.

“Although the FKG Group’s initial step into the well-servicing industry may have been an unexpected move, it had been a long and careful consideration before the launch of AUSCOIL,” Mr Gardner said.

“Our investment was made in response to industry needs – when the FKG Group recognised that CSG companies were requiring a more efficient, mobile and flexible well intervention solution. Since this time, AUSCOIL’s team of industry specialists have grown and evolved the business to what it is today. This is most recently evident with their move to a larger, custom-built facility, which will support their growing client requirements.”

In 2019, AUSCOIL acquired all the cementing equipment from SWMS, a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell and China National Petroleum Company, to further support their expansion of well services for clients.

Recent months have also seen the team further expand its fleet, including the addition of a new Batch Mixing Unit and Intermediate Capacity Coiled Tubing Unit specifically designed to deliver unprecedented efficiencies when performing coiled tubing plug and abandonment scopes.

General Manager of AUSCOIL, Diego Tarre Moser explained that the expanded fleet will further support clients through innovative technology.

“The new coiled tubing unit is designed to maximise the efficiencies for 1.5in – 2in coiled tubing jobs. Our team is continually innovating processes and technologies to not only meet but exceed client and industry requirements,” Diego said.

“It is through this continued innovation and development that we can continue to provide industry leading services to the oil and gas industry.”
