The Department of Education (DoE) engaged the FKG Group for the Design and Construct of a new Performing Arts Centre, a new administration building, and refurbishment of existing home economic classrooms. The design of the performing arts hall included various high specification items, lighting and AV equipment.

Works were undertaken in an operational environment, with the project team closely liaising with the school to coordinate plant and workforce movements around the site. To assist with mitigating disruption to the school during the project, the project team coordinated deliveries to be outside peak drop off and pick up times, as well as implementing fencing to completely delineate work areas.

This is the first major upgrade of the school in 30 years and this project is the first step in rejuvenating the campus. The school is going to use the state-of-the-art PAC as part of its re-focus on creating a Performing Arts Centre of Excellence, to draw in students who wish to pursue a career in the Arts.
