The Port of Brisbane were approached by Fisher & Paykel in June 2019 to request a proposal for a new Queensland Distribution Facility.

The FKG Group subsequently provided feasibility cost planning advice for the design and construction of a new industrial facility suitable for Fisher & Paykel’s operational requirements.

Following our cost planning work, we were engaged by the Port of Brisbane for the design and delivery of this new facility on a vacant 35,000m2 site.

The purpose built 20,000m2 state-of-the-art Queensland Distribution and National Service Centre includes a main office, dock office, service, spares and global quality offices and workshops, heavy duty hardstand, recessed and on-grade loading docks, along with a 100Kw solar system, rainwater storage and recycling, and a fully automated storage and retrieval system.

The project was delivered to a high standard, two weeks ahead of program and exceeded client expectations – despite the challenges of COVID-19.

The team at the FKG Group went above and beyond our expectations to deliver an exceptional result for the Port of Brisbane, and its new customer.  An absolute team effort by all involved.  I cannot speak highly enough of the no fuss, no worries, no problem attitude that defined this project.  Thank you.
