The FKG Group was engaged by the Department of Education and Training to undertake the development of the new Foxwell State Secondary College in Coomera.
Working with Ridgemill Project Management and Open Architecture Studio, the team completed the design documentation and construction of three and four storey buildings to support the school’s administration, student support services, general learning, and indoor sports facilities.
The new school possesses plenty of ‘wow factor’, not only in aesthetics, but also through the use of innovative solutions and functional design. Delivered within an incredibly short time frame of 33 weeks, the project remained within budget, and has received fantastic reviews from the client and school representatives.
I want to thank your teams of workers who have not just worked ridiculously hard, but also been so professional, supportive and generous of their time and positivity. I could not fault any person we have worked with on site. Everyone at FKG has been the very best we could ever have asked for and if I can advocate for them to win the tender for Stage 2 and 3 I will be, as this school would not be opening on Tuesday with any other company – I am sure of this! I have not heard one person not be blown away once they see the overall school, but it is when they look at each and every detail they realise some extraordinary architects have been behind this. Once again their willingness to be responsive and respectful to our ideas was greatly appreciated.
