The FKG Group was contracted by the Department of Education to design and construct a new State High School on a greenfield site at Mango Hill, north of Brisbane.

Requested as a fast track project, and with a campus area stretching across a site one kilometre in length – the team successfully completed the challenging project for the 2020 school year, while maintaining an enduring relationship with the client.

The project scope included the design, bulk earth site preparations, all infrastructure including an external road upgrade, and seven new school buildings.

FKG were the successful contractors for the build of our College, which opened in January 2020. From the outset and throughout the build, we found FKG to be very professional, approachable and great to work with. As a brand new high school, there are many facets of the building program that are unique to a high school setting. FKG were always willing to listen to our requirements and make adjustments, where possible. The outcomes have been fantastic, with the college buildings and grounds delivered on time or ahead of schedule and to the highest standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending FKG for our future building works or any other building program.
