As part of efforts to reconstruct Toowoomba Regional Council’s road network and associated infrastructure following damaging flood events, the FKG Group was contracted to undertake pavement reconstruction and bridge repairs on Old Homebush Road at Gowrie Junction, north-west of Toowoomba. The scope included 420m of pavement reconstruction, stabilisation of a blacksoil subgrade, grout injection to stabilise the northern bridge relieving slab, rock scour protection of the northern bridge abutment, and the replacement of guardrails on bridge approaches.
