The FKG Group were engaged by MACH Energy Australia Pty Ltd to upgrade the access route to their Mount Pleasant Operation. The scope of works involved the upgrade and realignment of a 1.8km section of Wybong Road, including road widening, intersection upgrades, drainage and signage, installation of wire rope guard rails, landscaping and service relocations.
From this foundation, the FKG Group was able to provide additional construction services to the client whilst the site team was mobilised to this region. Another 5km of access track was delivered ahead of schedule to support the mine’s high voltage power line relocation works.
Environmentally conscious throughout these road works, the FKG Group ensured noxious weeds were removed prior to bulk tree clearing and mulching activities to stop weeds from spreading. Fauna spotters were also present when hollow logs, that native species thrive in, were relocated.
