Building Designer/Architect

FKG Developments team undertakes the entire acquisition, design, approval, and construction process in house with projects including multi–level residential buildings, commercial offices, land subdivisions and industrial facilities.

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Building Designer / Architect to join our team in  Toowoomba. This fulltime role is suited to an individual who is passionate about innovative design, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Develop creative and practical design solutions for residential and/or commercial projects
• Prepare concept designs, working drawings, and documentation
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Conduct site visits and provide design support during construction

To be successful, candidate possess:

• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Building Design, or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp)
• Strong understanding of local building codes and regulations
• An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills; and
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
