The FKG Group has won the Employer Commitment to Training – General Construction at the Construction Skills Queensland Awards held in Brisbane recently.
The FKG Group was recognised for their efforts integrating varying forms of learning and development into everyday operations across the company.
FKG Group, HR – Group Manager, Hayley Hubbard said, “We understand that training packages and programs are simply one element in the successful development of our people and we work hard to integrate the programs so that our employees are supported, encouraged and empowered to achieve personal and professional growth.”
Dylan Cornelius, a Construction Trainee at the FKG Group also won the Construction Trainee of the Year at the awards for completing his Cert III in Civil Construction, having entered the industry with no experience.
“The judges praised his passion and commitment to his job, and to building a career for himself – aiming to achieve his goal of becoming a Superintendent in the future,” said Hayley.
The awards are the Queensland construction industry’s premier celebration of training and skilling achievements.
