Following a successful 22,000 kilometre journey visiting over 50 Queensland towns, The ManUp! Team have recently returned from their 2015 Education Tour.
The tour included information seminars provided to local communities on detection, treatment and the need for a better support programs for men living with the disease.
Founder of the foundation, Brian Costello, explained that it is only through awareness and education that prostate cancer will be detected at an earlier, more treatable stage;
“Most men don’t even know that detection can now be done with a simple blood test, and that’s a message worth spreading as quickly and widely as possible. With one in five Queensland men to be diagnosed with Prostate cancer in their lifetime, our aim is to raise awareness of the disease.”
To support ManUp! in their bid to raise Prostate Cancer Awareness, the FKG Group provided a secondary vehicle for the four month educational tour, which joined the ManUp! VW Kombi on the 22,000 kilometre journey.
Congratulations to Jill and Brian Costello and the ManUp! team on this mammoth achievement!
