Payroll Officer

To assist us to continue to meet these high standards and manage the busy payroll function for the 1100 employees of the FKG Group, we are seeking applications for an additional Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team on a full time permanent basis based in Toowoomba.

The successful applicant will work as a valued member of our payroll team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of our various pay cycles from start to end. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a proactive and capable individual with the confidence to deliver outcomes across a broad range of payroll activities. With highly developed and proven administration and computer skills, the role will be responsible for completing data entry, managing payroll records in our HRIS and Payroll Systems (UKG Ready and Payroll Metrics) and performing other standard and ad hoc reporting tasks.

Our perfect candidate will demonstrate skills and experience including:

• 3-5 years’ minimum experience in a payroll, accounts or senior administration role
• An understanding of payroll processes and legislation or ability to quickly acquire knowledge
• Highly developed keyboard skills with typing speed above 60wpm with high accuracy
• Vocational qualifications in business, commerce or similar
• Advanced level computer skills, with experience in payroll software desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

While previous experience in a payroll role will be advantageous, individuals with extensive experience and proficiency in general administration or accounts related roles may also be considered for this opportunity. Similarly, while our preference is for the role to be a full time position, some consideration may be provided to part time arrangements or flexibility where possible.
