Baringa State Secondary College Stages 2 and 3

FKG was engaged by the Department of Education to design and construct Stages 2 and 3 of Baringa State Secondary College, following the successful delivery of Stage 1. The scope included three new three-storey general learning area blocks, a visual arts centre, staff and student centre, performing arts centre, and external landscaping works.

Delivered within an operational school, the project required careful staging and coordination to minimise disruption. Site delineation was maintained through solid hoarding, scaffold bridges, haul roads, and alternative access routes.

Design changes were made in consultation with stakeholders to improve functionality, including flooring upgrades and façade adjustments. Labour shortages and inclement weather were mitigated through strategic procurement and transparent communication.
