FKG was engaged by BP under a cost-plus arrangement to investigate and refurbish fuel stations at Bowen Bridge Road and Goodna following significant flooding in early 2022.

Initial works involved internal demolition, detailed cleaning, and inspections by occupational hygienists and structural engineers. The scope expanded to include new fuel dispensers, pump station, grease trap, line marking, air and water units, external painting, fire equipment replacement, and various internal modifications.

Design documentation was incomplete at commencement, requiring FKG to identify and resolve design issues, maintaining open communication and weekly site meetings with BP throughout.

At Goodna, additional works included glazing, freezer door alterations, roof repairs, EV cabling, trenching, asphalt reinstatement, landscaping, and concrete repairs. At Bowen Bridge Road, works included canopy roofing replacement, roof insulation, garden maintenance, refuse area upgrades, and car park reinstatement. The site was collocated with a Hungry Jacks, which reopened before BP works were complete. FKG installed additional fencing and site security to safely separate public access from construction areas.
