Bundaberg Car Yard
FKG was engaged for the design and construction of a purpose-built car sales facility comprising eight dealer showrooms, a Parts and Service Centre, a Used Car Building, and upper-level administration offices, surrounded by extensive hardstand and landscaped areas.
During delivery, additional land was acquired, allowing the laydown area design to be extended. A variation to the dealership fit-out scope was issued, and the design team responded promptly to finalise plans and maintain program timelines.
Delays in stormwater pipe supply were mitigated by coordinating additional workforce to accelerate installation. The site’s exposure to inclement weather required proactive water management strategies, including hydrovacuuming and baking out excess water to prevent runoff into surrounding stormwater systems.
The project was completed on time and within budget, enabling tenants to move in and commence trading the following week.
