As part of rebranding its Toowoomba tenancy, global accounting firm Crowe Horwath engaged the FKG Group to undertake a complete refurbishment of the office complex. The refurbishment involved a wide variety of construction and fit-out works to wall partitions, floor coverings, plumbing and drainage, signage, air conditioning, and fire services, as well as acoustic treatment, painting, wall sheeting and plastering, tiling, external works, and landscaping.
Works were delivered in three stages to ensure office operations could continue throughout the project. During the initial two stages, office staff operated from one half of the building while works at the opposite end were completed. The third stage involved landscaping and works to the building façade which were delivered in conjunction with the first stage to save time.
Not only was refurbishment conducted in a live environment, but the office was located in the middle of town. Noise, dust and vibrations were managed to ensure no disruption occurred to the surrounding businesses. Despite the challenges of working in an operational environment, the FKG Group project team successfully completed the modernised office within the required time frame.
