QAS Yarrabilba and Munruben

The FKG Group were awarded by the Department of Housing and Public Works and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to deliver the new Munruben and Yarrabilba Ambulance Stations.

The project consisted of two new stations modelled on QAS Standard Design AU3 and a six bay AP4 plant room standard design, with on-site staff, operational and visitor car parking.

With positive relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers, local content commitments were well delivered.

The program was accelerated through strategic design solutions and well-planned methodology and delivery.  Managing works across two sites required close supervision and monitoring, which was performed well by the project team.  Communication was maintained across both sites, with lessons learnt on one passed to the other.  This created a cycle of continuous improvement.

The projects were completed several months ahead of schedule, continuing the excellent client relationship.  Our performance on these projects has secured further work with the Department of Housing and Public Works.
