QUBE Logistics Warehouse
FKG completed the design and construction of the QUBE Logistics Warehouse following a collaborative ECI phase. The redevelopment transformed a container hardstand site into two 7,500m² bulk goods warehouses for fertiliser and agricultural products, supported by a maintenance workshop, wash bay, offices, amenities, weighbridges, crossovers, and car parking.
Innovative structural solutions were developed to manage site settlements and restrain bulk materials without ground improvement works, addressing geotechnical constraints and accelerating delivery. Fire engineering strategies enabled sprinkler-free storage in one warehouse.
Delays in precast wall supply led to a staged handover, with most works completed in December 2020 and final items delivered by April 2021. Design refinements included a wind shield wall for the weighbridge and increased slab thickness to futureproof warehouse operations.
