Ripley Valley State Secondary College Stage 2B

FKG was engaged for the design and construction of a new Performing Arts Centre and refurbishment of existing buildings at Ripley Valley State Secondary College. Works included a two-storey centre with ensemble rooms, stage, change rooms, and general learning areas, along with upgrades to Building J and conversion of undercroft space into classrooms and support facilities.

Delivered within an operational school, safety was prioritised through traffic control, fencing, and coordinated scheduling. Latent conditions and wet weather were mitigated through adjusted sequencing and prefabricated stair installation.

FKG identified and rectified issues outside scope, including waterproofing defects, and provided in-kind additions such as a new Head of Department office. Collaborative engagement with school staff informed design improvements, including joinery adjustments and AV security.

The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget, with strong stakeholder relationships and high-quality outcomes contributing to its success.
