The FKG Group was engaged to construct a residential campus in Weipa to support secondary students from remote Western Cape communities. The project delivered 12 linked buildings, including separate junior and senior accommodation for male and female students, staff housing, an administration building, a kitchen and dining hall, medical facilities and a large covered recreation area. Additional works included external landscaping, site infrastructure and new carparking.

Construction in a remote region required precise logistics, with materials transported by truck and barge due to limited road access. Wet‑season conditions created further challenges, managed through early scheduling of critical works, advance procurement and extensive use of on‑site storage containers. The completed campus provided purpose‑built facilities supporting education, accommodation and community development in a remote environment.
