FKG was engaged for the design and construction of the new Corymbia State Primary School to support the growing Logan community. The scope included a two-storey administration and FamilyLinQ hub, three-storey learning centre, canteen and resource centre, multipurpose hall, day care, kindergarten, and extensive outdoor play and landscaped areas.
Delivered on a greenfield site, the project required early environmental controls, cultural heritage engagement, and complex utility relocations. FKG managed multiple work fronts and stakeholder groups, including Queensland Health and Indigenous representatives, to ensure tailored outcomes.
Value management, flexible sequencing, and collaborative design reviews supported program efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction. Despite wet weather and late-stage scope additions, including a new carpark, the project was completed ahead of the 2025 school year.
The project exceeded Indigenous procurement targets and training hours, and was delivered within budget, with strong relationships maintained across all levels of the client and community.
