Toowoomba Toyota

FKG was engaged for the Early Contractor Involvement construction of the Toowoomba Toyota Pre-Delivery and Service Centre, delivered across three separable portions. The scope included a three-storey service centre, a new car storage facility, and extension works to the existing building.

Located on a constrained site along one of Toowoomba’s busiest roads, the project required detailed coordination with service staff and neighbouring businesses to minimise disruption. FKG negotiated use of an adjacent vacant lot for laydown and allocated personalised carparks to nearby businesses. Works were staged around operational activities, with full encapsulation and daily cleaning to maintain safety and cleanliness. Design changes were implemented to accommodate site constraints, including a shift from precast panels to blockwork. Waterproofing was a critical risk, addressed through a tailored methodology developed with specialist input. Despite delays from weather and design changes, the project was completed in line with the revised program.
