A second award for the FKG Group’s Whitsunday Foodservice project!

After successfully winning nine awards at the Master Builders Queensland Housing and Construction Awards events across the regions, the FKG Group headed to the State Awards in early November.
With plenty of strong competition, the team were thrilled to take out the award for the category of ‘Industrial Building up to $5M’, for their work on the Whitsunday Foodservice Facility. Following extensive damage by Tropical Cyclone Debbie, the FKG Group was engaged to refurbish and extend the existing food stores and office space at the facility in Cannonvale.
The FKG Group’s North Queensland Operations Manager – Construction, Brad Gardner, said he was incredibly proud that the client had given them the opportunity to work on this multi-award winning facility, and thankful for the hard working team who helped to complete the project.
“The Whitsunday Foodservice Facility is truly cutting-edge. We had a lot of great subcontractors and team members who came up with innovative solutions and selected niche products to align with our client’s vision and superior standards. We are honoured to receive a second award for this project, and we could like to extend our congratulations to our client,” said Brad.
The team at the FKG Group are looking forward to hearing the results from the National Master Builders Housing and Constructions Awards.
