The FKG Group’s construction of The Airport Link Operations Centre was part of the landmark infrastructure project for the design and construction of the Airport Link Upgrade. Functioning as a customer service centre, customer call centre, tunnel control centre, and operations and maintenance facility with room for the BrisConnections administration office, the ALOC facility provides 24-hour surveillance and safe operation of the toll road. The site was located in a “live” and extremely tight location with difficult access. The FKG Group endeavoured to ensure minimal disruption to traffic on the busy surrounding roads through extensive preplanning of works and liaison with stakeholders.
