FKG was engaged by the Department of Housing and Public Works and the Queensland Police Service to construct a new police station in Beaudesert. The scope included demolition of the existing precinct and construction of a single-storey facility with carparking and minor external works.

Significant undocumented asbestos was discovered during demolition, requiring careful removal in accordance with safety protocols, particularly during wet season delays. The site shared a block with the operational Courthouse, and early engagement with Courthouse staff enabled flexible access and coordination of noisy works around court sittings. Regular site meetings with QBuild, QPS and the lead Architect supported a collaborative delivery approach. COVID-19 border closures impacted material supply, including bricks and FF&E, which were closely monitored to ensure timely installation. The project was completed two months ahead of the revised contract date with a strong safety focus resulting in zero Lost Time Injuries.
