Bulk Cargo Facility Newcastle

The FKG Group was engaged by Bulk Cargo Newcastle for the Design and Construction of a new bulk storage facility, with associated support facilities (weighbridges, awnings, office facilities, amenities), secure car parking and manoeuvring hardstands.

Two new stores of approximately 8,000m² each (total 16,000m²), are designed for the bulk storage of over 250,000 tonnes of agricultural feed products per annum.

Scope included complete ground improvement design, precambered post tension slab design, block retaining walls to complete perimeter, complete stormwater detention design, associated hardstands, landscaping and fencing. The sheds were constructed for a multi-national tenant.
