The FKG Group was contracted by the Department of Education to construct a new three storey administration and classroom building at Harristown State High School in Toowoomba.
The project scope included the demolition of the existing car park and construction of a three level suspended concrete building, comprised of a fully functional administration area, seventeen general learning areas, two flexible learning spaces and collaboration spaces, as well as hospitality kitchens with associated storage areas and amenities.
In line with the Queensland Government Building and Construction Training Policy requirements, the FKG Group ensured that apprentices were employed on the project to further their construction skills and project experience, and periodically reported on their progress towards meeting the Policy’s targets.
