The FKG Group was contracted to construct a utilities workshop and parts storage warehouse for Hastings Deering’s Rockhampton facility. Works involved the truncation and demolition of existing redundant warehouse sections followed by the extension and refurbishment of existing buildings, with the addition of a new 1,800m² warehouse section. Also included in project works was the installation of fire-rated block walls – designed to contain blazes before they reach hazardous areas and a new combined fire hydrant/ sprinkler system with an 800KL storage capacity.
