Hastings Warehouse

FKG were engaged to deliver a new utilities workshop and parts storage warehouse for Hastings Deering’s Rockhampton operations. The project involved demolishing redundant sections, extending existing buildings and constructing a new 1,800m² warehouse supported by driven concrete piles to address sub‑standard ground conditions. Upgrades to fire services were required due to the size of the facility and the presence of combustible materials, leading to the installation of fire‑rated block walls and a combined hydrant and sprinkler system with significant storage capacity.

Works were completed while the existing warehouse remained operational, requiring careful management of construction interfaces and safety controls. The expanded facility increased service capability across central Queensland and integrated seamlessly with broader operational infrastructure.
