IPSWICH GRAMMAR SCHOOL ARTS REFURBISHMENT

FKG has been engaged for the construction refurbishment to convert the HC Wilson Science Building into an Arts Centre with learning spaces dedicated to Music, Art, and Drama. The scope also includes the installation of new and relocation of existing services, as well as roof repairs and painting, building cleaning, new glazing and new lighting.

The building is located within the heart of the campus, and as such site access is heavily restricted. The team are performing all truck, vehicle and plant movements outside school hours. Subsequently, the team programmed the bulk of the works over the school holiday period, including demolition, asbestos removal, removal of demolished materials, and delivery of as many bulky items as possible.
