The FKG Group was engaged by the University of Queensland to construct the Logan General Practice Super Clinic. Adding to the existing local health and hospital systems, the 1035m2 clinic integrates general practitioners, nurses, visiting medical specialists, allied health professionals, and health students into the one facility.
The project involved various design and sustainability initiatives such as solar water heating, mixed mode air conditioning, rainwater harvesting and low environmental impact material selections. These features not only limit the environmental impacts of the clinic, they also reduce the ongoing costs of running the facility.
