On Tuesday 6th February, FKG Group Area Manager Athol Gossow and Site Supervisor Justin Wann were delighted to join Attorney-General Yvette D’Arth and representatives from the Magistrates Court of Queensland to celebrate the official opening of the Kingaroy Courthouse following the successful $5.3 million refurbishment.
Throughout the project, the FKG Group worked closely with the Department of Justice and Attorney General and successfully delivered on the promise of engaging high number of local suppliers and subcontractors – with 80% of suppliers and subcontractors engaged from the local region.
The upgrade to the facility included a full internal and external refurbishment, an integrated secure link to the watch-house, one new secure interview cell and an additional holding cell.
