FKG was engaged for the construction of new police facilities in Dayboro, QLD, including the demolition of the existing station and residence, and construction of a modernised police station and two-storey residential building. The scope included reception and office areas, undercroft parking, storage, and laundry facilities.
Delivered in a small community and close to residential properties, the project prioritised minimal disruption and positive engagement. FKG implemented tailored traffic controls, maintained a clean and quiet site, and proactively communicated with neighbours and local businesses. Heritage-listed stables were relocated and preserved for future community use.
Despite inclement weather and design challenges, the project was completed ahead of the revised practical completion date. FKG’s collaborative approach, high-quality workmanship, and strong local procurement contributed to a successful outcome.
