Hastings Deering Brisbane Branch

The FKG Group was engaged to refurbish and expand an existing office and warehouse facility to support Hastings Deering’s growing operational needs. The project involved structural alterations to the 2,000m² office area to create an open‑plan workspace supported by new lunchrooms and training rooms on the upper level. The 6,000m² warehouse was upgraded to accommodate specialist operational areas, including a showroom, workshop zones, gantry and jib cranes, a machine washbay, boiler shop and dedicated storage.

Evolving design requirements and latent conditions within the ageing structure required ongoing assessment of mechanical systems, structural supports and internal finishes. Construction sequencing enabled safe removal of a major load‑bearing wall through installation of a new steel truss system. The refurbished facility delivered modernised operational spaces tailored to the client’s requirements.
