Complex stakeholder interfaces and operational requirements were carefully managed throughout delivery, ensuring construction activities remained aligned with programme objectives and project milestones. Site operations and project interfaces were managed to minimise disruption to surrounding community activities while maintaining progress against key milestones. The completed facility provides a modern, purpose-built operational centre designed to support policing and community services, with integrated functional spaces that meet the operational requirements of the Queensland Police Service.
Kirwan Police Facility
FKG was engaged to construct a new two-storey, 3,500m² police facility in Townsville for the Department of Energy and Public Works, supporting the future development of a Queensland Police Service precinct. The project comprised civil works, car parking, a concrete structure, blockwork with brick veneer, and architectural finishes, together with a 24/7 non-urgent contact centre and accommodation for relocated district support functions.
