Kirwan Police Facility
FKG is constructing a new two-storey, 3,500m² police facility in Townsville for the Department of Energy and Public Works, forming part of a future Queensland Police Service precinct. The scope includes civil works, carparks, concrete structure, blockwork with brick veneer, and architectural finishes, along with a 24/7 non-urgent contact centre and relocation of district support functions.
Key challenges to be successfully managed include maintaining program efficiency, coordinating stakeholder engagement across a high-profile government project, and minimising disruption to surrounding community operations.
