FKG was engaged to deliver a new purpose-built District Police Headquarters at Ripley for the Queensland Police Service. The project comprised a two-storey police station incorporating holding cells, laboratories, strong rooms, and secure evidence storage areas, supported by extensive external works including car parking, footpaths, and landscaping.

Constructed on a greenfield site, the project required early civil works through significant in-ground rock to establish the facility foundations and supporting infrastructure. A compressed construction programme, complex security and services integration, and compliance with Class 2 NATA accreditation requirements for laboratory spaces were successfully managed throughout delivery. Additional challenges associated with shared access arrangements for an adjacent project, limited site space, and the provision of temporary infrastructure solutions were carefully coordinated. The completed facility provides a secure, fit-for-purpose operational headquarters designed to support policing services within the growing Ripley region.
